Caves
The Glowworm
Caves are in Fiordland National
Park in the South Island, New
Zealand.
Access to the caves is by "The
Luminosa" Catamaran across
Lake Te Anau. The cruise
tour operator Real
Journeys arranges
boat transport and guided tours
through the caves.
Cruise Times
Day trips
depart year round, the round trip
excursion = 2 hours 15 minutes
and includes
a presentation on the Glowworm
life cycle. The presentation is
held in the visitor centre
auditorium where you disembark
from the boat.
Getting
There
Walk to the
boat departure point from your Te
Anau accommodation, or just 15
minutes
drive from Manapouri. Check-in is
at the Real Journeys Office, Te
Anau lakefront.
